I found this article recently. Its old, filmed in 2006, but quite interesting.

“Morgan Spurlock’s volunteer, a successful computer programmer who lost his lucrative job to outsourcing, travels to India to try to get it back. Will he discover the secret of India’s success? Or that sending jobs overseas is an unstable gamble? In the 1980s American corporations realised they could manufacture their goods cheaper in a foreign country and millions of American factory workers were left unemployed. In the 1990s it was the turn of the white-collar worker, as the advent of the internet allowed companies to fire expensive American employees and hire foreign franchises to run key parts of their businesses. This is outsourcing. With its well-educated, English-speaking workforce, India is fast becoming the destination of choice for outsourced jobs in technology and customer services.” read article in full

All we are scared of inflation going on in India .. reached more then 11%  but think what can happen when inflation touches more then 2.2 Million percent (22 lakh %) ………..

A recent hyper inflation generated in Zimbabwe ! …  Yesterday’s official figures was 2.2 Million percent price high ..! A packet of bread now costs what 20 new cars did a year ago. Today billionaires are fighiting to buy a few packets of breads ! At present, a single loaf of bread costs nearly 100 billion Zimbabwe dollars.

It said laundry soap on the black market went up by 70 million percent, cooking oil by 60 million percent and sugar by 36 million percent — far higher than the official inflation rate of 2.2 million percent calculated by the Central Statistical Office on basic goods subject to price regulation and price increases approved by state National Prices and Incomes Commission. It acknowledged that private consultants calculated overall real inflation closer to 12.5 million percent.

It said a 4-pound bag of sugar cost about 20 billion Zimbabwe dollars — $1 — at the government’s fixed price, and 90 billion on the black market $4.50 at the bank exchange rate, or $1 at the black market exchange — in a country where unskilled workers earn up to 200 billion Zimbabwean dollars, about $10, a month.

However, few have jobs: unemployment has reached 80 percent.

I cant even imagin whats on road situation and how peoples feeding there childern. It all happened in Robert Mugabe’s rule… the worst managment of resources.  World should learn that choosing a leader and voting a  good candidate is how much important.

So today’s Inflation figure annonced .. as expected, it is going higher .. 8.24%. This is time to think each and every individual, where the graph going on and what may be the real impacts… if we generate a graph from last 1 year inflation data, you will soon realize that in next one year we will be in super-inflation situation and in next 2-3 years, we may be caught by hyper-inflation.

Inflation rate - worldwide

There are many countries in world who was affected by hyper-inflation time to time. Here are few extreme cases from wiki :

  • Germany in 1923 when the rate of inflation hit 3.25 × 106 percent per month (prices double every two days).
  • Greece during its occupation by Nazi Germany in 1941-1944, when the rate of inflation hit 8.55 × 109 percent per month (prices double every 28 hours).
  • Yugoslavia’s rate of inflation hit 5 × 1015 percent inflation between 1 October 1993 and 24 January 1994 (prices double every 16 hours).
  • The most severe known incident of inflation was in Hungary after the end of World War II, peaking at 4.19 × 1016 percent per month (prices double every 15 hours).

Because … “Nudity isn’t obscenity, it’s just art” …. said by Mr Shashi Tharoor, TOI 25-May-08. ( read article )
Ones again Mr. Shashi Tharoor published a column in Sunday Times, in favor of M.F. Hussain. I don’t know what connection or agreement he has with Mr Hussain, but he is not only doing an unusual favor of Mr Hussain, but also justifying the nude paintings of Hindu god and goddesses.

I want to let you know my friends, a partial collection of what M.F. Hussain painted, can be seen here : http://protestnudebharatmatha.blogspot.com . These are only few pictures, many are so vulgar and obscene and can not be published.

I written replies of all his last 3 articles on MF Hussain. And now going to reply his 4th article. I did not published my replies to my blog or anywhere, because I thought, those emails/replies should certainly change Shashi’s views and he will stop hurting millions of Indians. …Also why to write bad or negative about someone publicly.

Today I read the news in TOI, about pure rowdyism of private schools. Main problem is, we dont have any law which can punish these schools in any way. These schools running by most influence peoples and you cant through single word to them. We are still “GHULAM” in our country by these so called “best-English-schools”. If you have any problem with school, they simply fire you.

“We reserve the right of admission, If you have any problem, then get out with your child… your admission is canceled. ” - This is the most conman sentence which we all face time to time. You might have daring .. but how .. where to complain ? under which law ??

Naveen (school owner) added:”I had told Shreyas’ mother not to accompany him. But she did.

Uffff … Quite panic, a mother is not allowed to accompany her innocent kinder garden baby ? who will ? these rowdy schools ?????

Parents should come together and fight such situations with unity … [ huh …Unity ….that looks impossible, what I m taking about ]

( Article from  TOI, I found later, school name is misspelled, Correct name is Trio World School )

BANGALORE: A six-year-old child, Shreyas, is missing school for no fault of his. He is caught in a spat between his mother and the school. He was allegedly not permitted to enter the school by the school authorities on Monday morning.

Shreyas’ mother, Sunitha Ashok Shankar, charged the school, Crio World, located in Sahakarnagar, for not giving any reason for this act.”My first son, Aryaman, goes to kindergarten there. For two days, he came back famished and feverish. I got to know he wasn’t given food. I filed a complaint with the local police four days back and an FIR was registered. Today, I found my second son not being allowed into the school,” Sunitha said.

School owner Manjunath and his son Naveen acknowledged they had not allowed Shreyas inside the school. Manjunath said:”The parents had already created a problem with one child. We didn’t want the school’s atmosphere to be disturbed again, that too with exams for other students going on.”

Manjunath added:”Why wouldn’t we want to give food to a child?” Naveen added:”I had told Shreyas’ mother not to accompany him. But she did. She had created a scene twice before here. We didn’t want that again.”

Sunitha said:”I went after I got to know that my child wasn’t allowed inside. I asked them why they weren’t doing so, that too as his grading was to begin from today.” Sunitha said she approached ACP (law and order) Bipin Gopal Krishna.

“There are many benefits to learning English but it is neither a panacea for economic development nor a freebie.

There is no greater a myth than that English is important for the development of the economy. “

- Prashant Agrawal

(contact/email ?)

An ultimate article is published in 17th Nov Times of India issue. Read full story :

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Myths_About_English/articleshow/2547029.cms

I know one thing, if computer and internet is available in Hindi (easily and broadly),  my grandfather can also use and take advantage. I believe English is really making our progress very slow, more then 85% of Indian population can’t work in English and they are forced to do that. This is the reason government organizations are still not able to take benefit of technology. Simply, all police stations having deadly need of information network system but you will not find a computer in most of stations. The reason? Yes it’s in English and local policeman cant handle it.

Also I want to add some real facts here :
1. Hindi is worlds second largest language as primary language : ( http://www2.ignatius.edu/faculty/turner/worldlang.htm)
# Mandarin Chinese (836 million)
# Hindi (333 million)
# Spanish (332 million)
# English (322 million)
# Bengali (189 million)

2. China is not a single language country. It has too many flavors, so people in this forum stated that we have problem of because of multi-lingual country is totally illogical.

3. Development of country doesn’t comes with literature and words only, science, management, manufacturing, infrastructure is the part of country’s development and economic growth.

4. Why a illiterate farmer of USA is able to use internet/technology to sale there product ( or for many other things) ? because the system is in his mother tongue. Forget the computer, our farmers are not able to operate agricultural machineries without support.

5. Most offices(govt and many pvts) are still struggling and devoting most of time for learning language tools and actual work is getting delayed/pending. Only bank sector could stand up on this front, PF offices, hospitals, corporations, and many others having technology and network but its not fully utilized.

5. One more example, we have GPS system now available in India but in English only. How many of us (Indians) are using GPS now a days ? What do you think, truck and taxi drivers should first learn English ? GPS and tracking system is deadly need and govt is floating money like water, but its not worth because everything is in English and India’s most drivers don’t know English.

There are too many cases to discuss and too many things to say, I will publish on my blog soon ( http://satyadev.net )

I installed wordpress and tried lot write in hindi using UTF-8 system.  But It always appears ????????? ???. Searched lot but I dont know why not any post available on wordpress forum for this problem ( Or may be I couldn’t search).

So finally the solution is :

locate file ‘wp-config.php’ in your wordpress installation root. and comment out following lines :

//define(’DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8′);
//define(’DB_COLLATE’, ”);

Just it .. You will get enabled for Hindi and other indian languages encoding ( perhaps for many others too ).

Now Any can tell me how I can add a hindi typepad on my blog ( for comments or any other purpose ) ?  Something like google Hindi transliteration pad ?
